Poor Quality Products
Here at OneClick we invest a lot of time in research, we think it’s really important. Our research enables us to fully understand our market, what the customers’ need (that’s you!) and who’s providing it (that’s us and our competitors).
It’s not that we’re not afraid of a bit of good old fashioned competition in fact our moto is ‘the more the merrier’ but companies providing inferior products not only risk the safety of their customers but also damage the good name of lots of reputable companies that have spent years developing a genuinely safe and reliable product.
We were approached by The Energy Saving Trust and asked to design a completely automatic mains controller, one that did not require a separate remote control. Independent research suggests that whilst people will use a remote control to operate their mains controller for a while they eventually lose it (or the dog eats it!) and the mains controller becomes non operational. We were also asked to design a product that could last for more than a million cycles, in short a mains controller that once you’ve set up you can completely forget about!
So that’s what we did, we designed a totally automatic product that with any luck will keep on working for you for up to fifteen years, paying for itself many times over and saving you a few quid along the way. Oh and we should probably mention that the IntelliRange uses just 0.4 watts in standby – the lowest on the market so far.
Many of the mains controllers on the market today do not save any electricity, in fact, some actually use more than they claim to save and there are others that we feel simply aren’t safe and are at risk of catching fire. We strongly urge everyone to ensure products meet British Standards before purchasing them.
The Energy Saving Trust is a great site for finding out which products you can rely upon. They independently test all the products they recommend and ensure that they all meet British Standards.
