Re-set procedure TVAIMP205
If you have found that your TV/AV IntelliPanel™ is switching your peripherals and Master Device off without any instruction from you or if they switch off after only a few moments, don’t worry the panel isn’t faulty it just needs calibrating to your equipment, so follow the simple steps below.
1. Switch OFF the TV Intellipanel at the mains supply and ensure the TV is in the Master Socket
2. Wait 5 seconds.
3. Turn on the TV Intellipanel at the mains supply.
4. Wait 5 seconds and make sure the Red LED is off
5. Turn ON the TV Intellipanel with the remote control or by pressing the magic button once
6. Wait 5 seconds.
7. Turn ON the television in the normal manner.
8. Wait 5 seconds.
9. Turn OFF the television in the normal manner.
10. Wait for the IntelliPanel to deactivate (Red LED off and the Sky Socket off)
11. Wait for the Sky Socket to return to standby state (this should take about 15 seconds)
This should calibrate the TV Intellipanel™ which is now ready for use.
For Plasma Televisions
For use with Plasma televisions, you may need to disable some settings related to ‘HDMI’. On some equipment this is called ‘HDMI control’ or ‘HDMI monitoring’ (this can have an effect on the power usage of the equipment.)
On Panasonic TVs this setting is known as the ‘Viera Link’.
This can be accessed by using the remote control to access the TV’s ‘Setup Menu’.
Menu List >
Link Settings >
Viera Link > Set to OFF. (The default is ON)
Now switch OFF the TV and follow the procedure below.
- Switch the Intellipanel OFF at the mains socket and wait 5 seconds. This is important as it clears out the old settings. (The Intellipanel will require re-calibrating EVERYTIME it is switched off at the mains supply.)
- Ensure the Plasma TV is plugged into the master socket.
- Switch the Intellipanel ON at the wall socket.
- Switch the Intellipanel ON via the TV remote control. (Or press the button on the magic eye). The Red peripheral light should come ON.
Important - If the TV comes straight ON, without going into standby mode first, then press the TV standby button and wait 30 seconds until the Intellipanel turns the TV OFF. Switch the Intellipanel OFF at the mains socket and go back to 1. again. This will ensure that the TV goes straight into standby mode.
- The TV should now be in standby mode. Wait 10-20 Seconds.
- Press the Power button on the TV remote control to turn the TV fully ON and display a normal picture. Wait 10-20 seconds.
- Press the Standby button on the TV remote control, to place the TV into standby mode. After 30 seconds the Intellipanel will turn the TV OFF again.
The panel should now be calibrated to your TV, so you can switch the TV back ON via the remote control and watch a DVD.
Something to note about some Plasma TVs, is that they will switch into standby mode after about 30 minutes when there is no signal, (such a blank or dark picture). This is an energy saving function of the TV, however the IntelliPanel™ will then sense that the TV has gone into standby and switch OFF.
Please remember, once the TV IntelliPanel™ is activated you need to press the remote control again to turn on the television – TWICE when you want your equipment ON and ONCE when you want it OFF.
