Senior Design Engineer

The Role

The role of the Senior Design Engineer is to support the design and development of OneClick Technologies award winning innovative energy saving devices. As a key member of the technical department, the Senior Design Engineer´s responsibilities will include the design and development of bespoke electronics and generic solutions involving all aspects of new product development from the generation of specifications through to qualifications testing. Additionally, the Senior Design Engineer will provide support and mentoring for junior members of the technical team.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an engineering graduate with a minimum of 5 years design experience in a relevant field, and will have full product life cycle experience.

Qualifications/Experience

The applicant should possess some of the following qualifications and technical skills:-

  • A Degree level qualification in Electronics Engineering or Physics.
  • A thorough understanding of analog and digital electronic design principals.
  • Experience of developing and debugging microcontroller firmware in embedded C.
  • Knowledge of standard development processes (e.g. design, coding, and unit testing).
  • Experience of PCB design.
  • The ability to troubleshoot existing designs.
  • A working knowledge of statistical evaluation and experience in conducting capability studies and statistical assessments of test data.
  • The ability to write clear and unambiguous test reports and supporting documentation.
  • Have an appreciation of design for test and design for volume manufacture.

Salary

  • Negotiable depending upon experience and qualifications.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and live within a reasonable commuting distance from our Nottingham office.
